Forrests Music is committed to offering only the highest quality used instruments. To ensure this, we selectively accept consignments based on brand, condition, and market demand.

Consignment Evaluation Process

1. Initial Inquiry:
• Contact us via phone or email to discuss your instrument and determine if it meets our consignment criteria.

1. Evaluation:
• Eligible instruments undergo a thorough evaluation by our skilled technicians.
• Consignment evaluations are conducted free of charge and can take 2-4 weeks, depending on our technicians’ availability

1. Consignment Proposal:
• Upon completion of the evaluation, we will provide a detailed consignment proposal. This includes:
• Repairs and maintenance estimate required to bring the instrument into top playing condition.
• An estimated timeline for completing the necessary work.
• A price range for the sale value of the instrument.
• The commission percentage that will be applied to the sale.

1. Decision to Proceed:
• If you decide to proceed with the consignment, you can pay for the repair costs upfront, or opt to deduct the costs from the sale proceeds for a nominal fee.
• If you choose not to proceed, you may pick up your instrument or arrange for it to be shipped back to you at your expense.
